Wednesday 9 June 2004.<\/strong> These Bricks, are not coming out as I planned. I intended humor and brevity, not to mention frequency. What they are appears to be like most other blogs. Is the form dictating the message? I’ll continue to work on them. Brick is intended to be derivative of any online Web log; the mission remains. But these postings will continue for if I wait for quality or perfection or the just-what-I’m-looking for, even though I haven’t quite defined it, there will be no updates at all. That defeats the plan. The plan is an alternative site for communication. -30-<\/font><\/p>\n

Tuesday 8 June 2004,<\/strong> at home 5:13 p.m. Just to get something typed out today. This was going to be done at 1:30 then 3. then 4:45 and 5, so am failing the “appointment” test. But so much had to be done. Or not. It’s all relative. … But if I can master this writing on time bit, I will be so much closer to writing on my own, without need for a column or any other sort of outside deadline. I’ll still need deadlines; I’m no fool on this; I’ll still need deadlines.
