May 3, 2004.<\/b> For weeks I’ve been wondering about the new logo for my hometown’s Walton Arts Center; it can be viewed here<\/a>. The newspaper articles quoted several laudatory remarks about it. It obviously was professionally designed — a circle of W’s that also configure a star. But it also looks like a circle made of M’s, and without squinting. Newcomers to the site or to that actual facility are going to wonder about who the other significant benefactor is: Symington G.
